Zainab & Mahdi’s Kitb Kiteb | Al-Huda Muslim Society, Scarborough, ON

This is a very late post, but after sifting through my work I came across these detail shots from Zainab & Mahdi’s lovely Engagement ceremony. I absolutely loved photographing this event. Out of all the engagement events I’ve done within Al Huda, I adored the attention of detail the most at this one.

Zainab & Mahdi are truly a match made in heaven. My heart was so happy photographing this beautiful union. Both of them are so well suited. It was so easy for me to photograph them. Before the ceremony I was able to spend some time with Zainab taking portrait shots of her and her friends and family. When the ceremony started, I captured her entrance, the lecture by the Sheikh and the agreement between the couple to be joined in this union of marriage.

Zainab had a beautiful purple dress and Mahdi was matching in a black suit, a purple dress shirt and grey tie. I was able to capture so many emotions, family photos and details. There were so many hugs, laughter, happy tears and smiles at this event.

I have to also say that the food at this engagement was by far the best food I’ve ever had to date at an engagement ceremony. It was SO DELICIOUS! So, totally get in touch with Zainab & Mahdi for their food recommendations for your next event.
